The Why
I almost eloped. Hear me out: I have nothing against elopements; they’re stunning! The reason my husband and I almost eloped was because we almost fed the lie that we were not loved enough by our friends and family to be celebrated. The shock of our lives was the people who surrounded us with an immense amount of affection on the day we became one.
Weddings are important; they are the joining of two people becoming one. There is no other promise on this earth that holds quite the same intimate power wrapped up in beauty. My desire for each wedding I document is to hold the moment of adoration from those around you, and to help you hang the memories you hold dear, because they represent not only one of the best days of your life but also the moment you made a powerful promise.
I value a joyful experience, truthfulness, connecting with others, and creating a space where, regardless of whether beliefs are the same as mine, people feel welcomed.
Photography is art to me, and it is meaningful because of your story. It is an absolute honor to capture what you care about most.

Julia captured all of the candid moments but also came prepared with ideas of different shots we could do, and directed us in a clear and kind way. It felt natural and comfortable being guided by her for all of our pictures. To top it all off, our wedding day was a dark, cloudy, pouring one, and Julia didn't skip a beat to still make it work. She remained calm and happy the entire time (this meant the world to me as a bride and really helped my own feelings about the rain). She was versatile and quick on her feet to pivot and find alternatives with our weather limitations. All the while we felt really cared for as people, since she was also making sure hair and makeup wouldn't get ruined or that dress and suit wouldn't get wet. The work Julia was able to produce despite the weather and the lighting really showcased her photography skills even more. We couldn't have asked for a better person to capture our wedding day! Not only is her photography work artful, but she is a wonderful person who you will feel is in your corner, which makes a huge difference on one of the biggest days of your life, and you don't always get that with any photographer.

Julia was incredible. She was everything you want in a wedding photographer. She was funny and relaxed, but also super professional. She celebrated us so well. We told her we wanted some more creative wedding photos and she killed it! It was also super cloudy on our wedding day so i was worried that the lighting would make the photos not very good, but some how she worked her magic and presented our wedding day in such a whimsical beautiful way. I cannot recommend her enough. Worth every penny!
